Tax Credit vs Project Based Vouchers – what does this mean?
The Tax Credit (LIHTC) waitlist keeps rents less than market rate, even if your income goes up. There are 32 tax credit units.
The Project Based Voucher (PBV) keeps your rent at 30% of your income, so when your income goes up, so does your rent. There are 32 Project Based Voucher units.
We recommend getting on both waitlists since you will not be able to get on the other list later. That way you can choose what makes sense for your family.
